J. Albert, grand panjandrum of percussively dexterous house given an outing by 1080p, Vancouver's HQ for unconventional electronica? A match made in heaven, right? Did you honestly expect me to say no? The four tracks that make up "Strictly J" simply ooze craftsmanship; every track from its crisp snare hits, pads and moments of languid punctuation precisely assembled, but with an apparent ease that makes them perfect for the dance floor rather than fodder for production technique nerds. This is house for the itchy-footed connoisseur. This is class. Nic Brown

All the tracks are great but Stepper is the standout for me! pounding syncopated kicks, rolling handdrums and playful sample work, dancefloor destroyer. Jack G.
